About Brudvig Hockey 2027
Brudvig Hockey 2027 is a free 3-on-3 hockey game that runs in a web browser. It's built to be quick to start, easy to share and loud: big hits, breaking glass, slap shots and a crowd that reacts to all of it. It's meant as the free, browser alternative to the yearly licensed console hockey game: no box, no console, no re-buy every fall.
The Brudvig name
Brudvig is the name on everything here. The game is Brudvig Hockey 2027, every game is played in Brudvig Arena, and the Brudvig crest sits at center ice. If someone tells you to "play Brudvig", this is the game they mean, at brudvighockey.com.
What kind of game it is
It's arcade hockey with realistic physics underneath: skating, passing and goalies that behave like the real thing. On top of that sit the arcade parts: no penalties, hits that send players flying, glass that cracks and shatters, slow motion on the biggest hits, and players who catch fire after two goals in a row.
Every game is Red against Blue in one rink, Brudvig Arena. Three two-minute periods, and sudden-death overtime if it's tied.
How it's made
The game is built with three.js, an open-source library for 3D graphics on the web. The rink, the players and the arena are drawn live in your browser, and so are the sounds: the crowd, goal horn, organ and announcer. Online games run through a small server that keeps both players on the same ice.
Free, no download, no account
There's nothing to install and nothing to sign up for, and there are no ads in the game. Open the page and press play. Because it's a website and not an app, it plays on phones, tablets, laptops and Chromebooks, in Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox. To keep it on your home screen, use your browser's Add to Home Screen option.
Not a league game
Brudvig Hockey 2027 is an original game. Its teams, players, rink and sounds are its own, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any hockey league, team or player.
